Research environment
The interface in which analysis is written, executed and iterated — notebooks, IDEs and their execution models.
Why it matters
Notebooks are the reproducibility crisis in quantitative research and almost nobody in the field says so. They execute out of order, hold invisible state, and pin nothing. The dominant research medium is structurally irreproducible, which means the environment choice is a governance decision that is almost always made on convenience grounds.
Relationships
Typed edges into the rest of the ontology. These are what make the canon traversable rather than merely readable.
| Verb | Target | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
relatedTo | Reproducibility | An association too weak or too general for a stronger verb. |
