Ingestion
The movement of data from a source system into an environment where it can be used, including extraction, transport and initial landing.
Why it matters
Every connector is a trust boundary. The governance question at ingestion is not whether the data arrived but whether its provenance metadata survived the crossing — most pipelines drop it, and once dropped it cannot be reconstructed downstream.
Relationships
Typed edges into the rest of the ontology. These are what make the canon traversable rather than merely readable.
